New and Up and Coming Bands wanted
Are you a new band and 1st time giging / Are you now ready for music circuit, well then this competition was made for you!
Do you want to be crowned the North West's unsigned Band of 2010 and be in with an automatic place in the Cotton Tree Final?
There will be five heats the first of which is at the Cotton Tree in Bolton in of January/Feb/March 2010 at 2130hrs.
You need material for a 25min - 45min set
There is no entry fee but you will have to book a place in advance for a place in the competition.
Winner from the night has automatic inclusion in the cotton tree Band of the year Final.
Heats take place in the Cotton tree Bolton over the next 8 weeks.
The rules are there are no rules you can say and do what you want on stage but if the audience don't like it then on your own head be it! The audience on the night will be unshockable so no worries re. content.
In case there is deadlock on the night it may be advisable to have an extra 25 mins of material available so you can go head to head with other Bands you are in deadlock with.

Dance Studio
The Embrace Project Dance studio is now fully fitted and ready for immediate use 7 days a week. We would encourage all young people, childrens groups, childrens services and providers to make use of the studio over the 6 week summer holiday.
Also available is the grand stage and DJ and rapping area again for hire on a 7 days a week rota. This is ideal for young bands, singers or street performers who may want to perform, sing or just practice in private.
Disabled access to the 1st floor is available. Photos of the Studio and grand stage can be found in our Gallery.
The Cotton Tree is keen to support positive activities for young people and families in the Haillwell and Bolton area during the next 7 weeks of school hoildays!
